LIFE is all things outside work that are not entirely self-serving. As I slowly grow up, this area should get larger as WORK and MEDIA get smaller.

Picture Album Pictures of the family.

Church We attend Life in Jesus, part of the Charismatic Episcopal Church.

Homeschool We started with the Calvert School program for Kindergarten, but the curriculum was very cumbersome, so we finished out the year with other workbooks. Explode the Code is pretty good, we are now using Abeka for reading and math first grade.

Friends We have friends.

The Dog I f you have not heard, Pumpkin has passed away. We all miss her very much, she was a good dog. We found her through a Basset rescue organization, BROOD. If you are considering getting a dog, we recommend finding a rescue in your area.
If you have not owned a dog before, do your research!
Right DogThey are expensive and a lot of work. Check out the excellent book, The Right Dog for You. It explains why we chose a Basset, and why we avoided a Dalmatian.

NOTE: Having a dog is not good for teaching your six or twelve-year-old responsibility. A younger child of (three or less) will grow up loving animals and respecting dogs, but the dog will always be the adults job first. Don't ever get a dog for your kids
